I’m trying to waste a little time, so I just thought I’d blog out some.  I’ve been doing really well with this whole resisting temptation, thing.  Mostly, I think, it’s because other people are the ones doing most of the tempting (not myself).  Like, when my friends offered me cookie dough or mom asked if I wanted to order out for Chinese food (my absolute favorite), it made me feel powerful to tell them “No, thank you.”  In that way, I’ve been doing really well.

I think I need to diversify what I’m eating, though, because it is starting to get a little boring.  I’ve gone through all of the Cooking Light magazines in our house and put post-its on all of the recipes that I just can’t wait to try.  I already made a shrimp etouffe and some cherry crisp the other day.  Now that I finally have my car back, I can run out to the grocery store and get some ingredients!

I don’t know about you all, but I really hate the grocery store.  Not because it’s all so tempting, which it can be at times, but because I’m always running into people there!  One of the things that I hate most in the entire world is running into people that I know when I’m out shopping and having to converse with them.  Most of the time, if I spy someone I’m acquainted with in Target or something, I will go out of my way to hide, just so I don’t have to deal with them.  It’s really rather pathetic.  Anyway, the place where I seem to run into people the most is the local grocery store.  It’s inevitable that every visit will result in some loathesome encounter with somebody.  *Sigh*  I once considered going in a disguise, but I don’t think that it would work.
